Something new everyday #16: stimulate all my senses before going to work

This morning I woke up stimulating my 5 senses with nice positive elements.

I didn’t do anything new, but I got aware of what I was doing and enjoyed it.

Muse – butterflies and hurricane
Muse – thoughts of a dying atheist
The guess who – American woman
Percy sledge – Stand by me
David Bowie – Life on mars
Raggasonic – Mental
Ladysmith black mambazo – Shosholoza
Ladysmith black mambazo – homeless
The trashmen – Surfin bird
Camaron de la isla – como el agua
Gill scott heron – the revolution will not be televized
Beck – Loser
Peret – el muerto vivo
Buraka som system – aqui para voces
These new puritans – elvis
Redman – It’s like that
Playing for change – one love

Meanwhile, I cooked, preparing lunch and breakast.

Sight, touch, smell

Cut in small dices 2 cucumber, a green pepper, took a hand full of chick peas in my hands to wash them under water, holding them very delicately while water was flowing through my fingers, took 10 medium size shrimp, cut head and tails and pealed them, poored half a bol of smooth goat yogurt and added strong smelling olive oil, added curcuma and mixed until it got almost liquid, and poored it on top of the salad I had prepared. Powdered it with pimenton, in a tupperware and lunch was ready.

For the breakfast, I took 10 strawberries, washed them and cut them in small pieces, lovely smell, sliced a banana, prepared a fresh juice a two nice smelling mature oranges and a lemon straight from the garden of my parents house that I took of the tree myself. I mixed the juice with the sliced fruits and covered it with wallnuts, almonds, pine nuts and raisins.
Breakfast was ready.

Green tea while cooking. Fresh fruits salad. All this was made in 1h with the sun shinning through my windows.

A nice way to begin a day, and it’s nothing more than nice music and basic cooking.

Also great to write it down now and remind of all those senses stimulations.
